Highlights from April 8, 2026 Meeting

3) Acceptance, with Sincere Appreciation, of Ted Smith’s Resignation from the Pinedale Board:
After many faithful years on the Pinedale Board, and many dedicated years of active service, Ted Smith has resigned as President and as Director of the Pinedale Board. With deep appreciation for his formal commitment to Pinedale Cemetery, it was moved by Donna T., seconded by Brian H., that Ted Smith’s resignation be accepted with sincere appreciation – motion carried.

6c) Legacy Fund
Legacy Funds in memory of Alie and Teunis Molenaar to directed to new Pinedale Church sign.

9) Church Building Maintenance: 
a) The ceiling and possible leak to be investigated.
b) The two church furnaces will be remove.
d) Pinedale Sign: Neil Mcleod, long-time supporter of Pinedale, was commissioned to build a new sign for the church.  It will be installed soon on the outside of the church building near the front door.

10) Church Cemetery Maintenance:
–  removal of limbs and debris in the cemetery
– topsoil to fill in low areas
– grass to be fertilized
– with columbariums growing in popularity, the Board will be meeting with a provider to gather information to consider in the future
– south gate closure to be repaired
– NW scots pine tree to be removed

15) Pinedale Community Carol Sing: The Board discussed the possible re-emergence of the Pinedale Community Carol Sing in the fall.  A tentative date for this event is Sunday, November 15, 2026 from 6:00 – 7:00 PM with refreshments to follow.  Details are being determined.
